BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA: Charity Lawson was one of the fan-favorite contestants for Zach Shallcross' season of 'The Bachelor'. Charity had to return heartbroken after Episode 8 of the season. However, Charity is all set to give another shot to love in the new season of 'The Bachelorette'.
Charity is looking for someone compassionate, kind, and funny. She has multiple men to choose from different professions including medical experts, business owners, firefighters, and world record holders. Among the contenders is a Harvard grad student, Josh Young.
Who is Josh Young?
Josh hails from Bethlehem and puts God and family first. He finished high school in 2013 at Freedom High School and studied at Franklin and Marshall College, graduating with honors in 2017. Since graduation, he has worked in several sectors such as investment banking and nonprofits. He even helped run a successful political campaign. He has been working as a business administrator at his former college since September 2013. Josh led a team at Young Life, a Christian non-profit organization, and was also a consultant at Guardian Life, an insurance company, in 2017. Apart from this, in 2016, he worked as a financial analyst at a local business named The PFM Group.
Josh still serves as a volunteer wrestling coach at Freedom High. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. Josh is also pro at wrestling and football. Apart from this, Josh loves playing board games, going on hikes and surfing. Josh's social media profile suggests that he is a family man. He often shared photos with his siblings and his mother Carla. He said that he's happiest "knowing I've made someone else's day better," which includes his two younger brothers whom he helped raise. When he was 6, Josh's father died in a car accident while on the way to visit his grandmother.
Josh Young gets accepted to Harvard twice
Josh was accepted for admission to Harvard Kennedy School for the first time in 2019. However, he gave up both a lucrative career on Wall Street and a grad program at Harvard to work for a nonprofit building international affordable housing. He was offered to join New Story as Chief of Staff. Josh explained in his LinkedIn post, "New Story is working to end global homelessness by building and bringing groundbreaking technologies to families that need it most." He further explained that he opted to work with a nonprofit organization because he was raised by a single mother who, against all the odds, took care of him and his brothers. Later, Josh applied to Harvard for the second time and was accepted again. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree at Harvard which will be complete in 2025.
What is Josh Young looking for in their partner?
After a thriving career, Josh is now ready to settle down with his dream woman. He comes from a tight-knit family and is ready to start a family of his own. Josh hopes to have four kids one day. Josh is looking forward to beginning the next chapter of his life and hopes that it starts with Charity by his side.
